one couple's journey of trying to conceive their first child
About Me
- Mrs. R
- We're a couple in our early 30s and have been together for 9 years, married for 4 years, and live in San Francisco. After 1-1/2 years of trying, we realized that getting pregnant is not as easy as we were told in high school. We finally got pregnant after IVF and welcomed our baby boy in March 2012.
Our Journey
10/2009 - off the pill
11/2009 - started charting with TCOYF
5/2010 - threw in OPKs, yoga, green tea, preseed
9/2010 - SA #1: low count & morphology
11/2010 - 1st RE appt, SA #2 for him, blood work & HSG for her
11/2010 - HSG: tubes clear, uterus normal :D
12/2010 - infertility urologist: nothing to increase count, try fish oil
12/2010 - 2nd RE appt, review his and hers results, decide first step to be IUI
12/2010 - 2nd RE appt, review his and hers results, decide first step to be IUI
12/2010 - 1st IUI (unmedicated) - bfn
1/2011 - 2nd IUI with Femara - bfn
2/2011 - 3rd IUI, back-to-back with Femara - bfn
3/2011 - taking a break
4/2011 - 4th IUI, back-to-back with Femara - bfn
4/2011 - 4th IUI, back-to-back with Femara - bfn
5/2011 - gearing up for IVF
6 - 7/2011 - IVF w/ ICSI #1, eSET- first ever BFP!!!!!!!
beta #1: 160, beta #2: 374
it's a boy! baby R born in march 2012
